Professor Zlatko Hrgovic, MD, PhD, is a doctor, specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, university professor. Born in Lipovo Brdo near Bjelovar 1950. He graduated high school in Bjelovar and the Medical Faculty in Zagreb 1974. Residency in obstetrics and gynecology completed at the Medical School of Hannover 1980. Doctoral dissertation defended in the field of gynecology at the Medical Faculty, University of Zagreb in 1985. Then a doctorate at the Medical School of Hannover 1986. He is a member of the German Association of sexologists. He works as a university professor at the School of Medicine “Johhan W. Goethe” in Frankfurt. He has been also a university professor at the Faculty of Medicine “Josip Juraj Strossmayer” in Osijek, and visiting professor at Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sarajevo. The responsible investigator and participant in several projects and active participant in several national and international scientific and professional conferences. He has published over one hundred professional and scientific papers in the field of gynecology, obstetrics, surgery and urology. Many of his published articles were cited in the world-renowned medical journals. He is editor and publisher of four books, co-author of an American textbook, as well. Mentor and member of numerous commissions for a doctoral dissertation, sub-specialist and specialist exams. He is a regular member of the Croatian gynecological society, then, a member of the German Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, and a member of the German Society of urologists, a member of the German Society of endocrinologists, a member of the German Association of sexologist, a member of the German Urological Society, a member of the German Association of surgeons, a member of the German Society for Reproductive Medicine, Member of the Presidium of the German Society for incontinence. For his scientific and professional work has received several medals, plaques and other awards. Professor Zlatko Hrgovic is renowned expert in obstetrics and gynecology. It dealt mainly with diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. His work has contributed to the treatment of breast cancer. Another important area of professional and scientific work of professor Zlatko Hrgovic and the treatment of urinary incontinence in women, and in this area he made a significant contribution to the improvement of surgical treatment of urinary incontinence in women. Third important area of scientific and academic works of Professor Zlatko Hrgovic is the diagnosis and treatment of sterile marriages where in the treatment of both couples. Gathered and drew on a number of co-operation of eminent specialist’s gynecologist from home and abroad, resulting in a large number of conferences, symposia and research papers. According to the University of Cambridge has been included among the one hundred best gynecologists in the World for 2009. He published a large number of professional and scientific papers that have significantly influenced the development of science. Has extensive lecturing experience as a professor of Medical faculties of Hannover, Frankfurt, Sarajevo and Osijek. It is essential to emphasize his selflessly providing major assistance to Sarajevo in the difficult conditions of war. Professor Zlatko Hrgovic is a member of many international organizations in advancing the world of medicine. In addition, there is a link between our domestic and foreign experts in the areas of the world dealt with.
