Professor Enver Zarem, MD, PhD, was born in 1953 in Glodnica near Jablanica. Graduated primary school in Ostrozac and high school in Konjic. Graduated at the Medical Faculty in 1977, and completed specialization in internal medicine in 1984 in Belgrade. Completed Master’s degree in 1991 and a PhD. in 1994 at the University of Tuzla. From 1980 he was working on an Internal Clinic of the University Clinical Center in Tuzla. He has been elected as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Full professor of internal medicine at the Medical Faculty in Tuzla. Also, he has been director of scientific research and education at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla. Foremost expert and the most important scientist in B&H in the field of application of the intervention ultrasound in medicine. He has written chapters in 5 books on the subject of the intervention ultrasound gastroenterology. He has published over 100 scientific and professional papers mainly in the field of intervention ultrasound and gastroenterology. In the journals which are indexed in Current Contents database. The articles which are cited in the PubMed/Medline database count 114 articles. He is a reviewer in several journals covered by Current Contents databases, and from the journal European Radiology he received a special award for 2009 and 2010.
