Academy of Medical Sciences of Bosnia and Herzegovina - AMNuBiH is established on 20 October 2009 in Sarajevo in order to promote biomedical science in B&H through scientific projects, publication of biomedical scientific and research publications, organization of scientific and professional meetings, etc. At the Constituent meeting of AMNuBiH organized on 20 October 2009 was appointed the Governing bodies and adopted Normative acts of AMNuBiH.
We also prepared a proposal for admission of new AMNuBiH members and the first Academy members of AMNuBiH were admitted on 20 December 2009 at the Rectorate of the University of Sarajevo and on that occasion for academics are appointed: Izet Masic, President, Mirko Grujic, Vice president, Osman Sinanovic, Vice President, Zoran Hadziahmetovic, Secretary general, then, Vjekoslav Gerc, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Abdulah Kucukalic, President of the Ethics Committee and Marko Buksa, Mehmed Gribajcevic, Izet Hozo, Jasenko Karamehic, Muharem Zildzic, Sukrija Zvizdic for full members of AMNuBiH, and Jacob Bergsland, Benjamin Djulbegovic, Asim Kurjak as correspondent members, with Zeljko Reiner and Pavle Milenkovic for honorary AMNuBiH members.
AMSBiH activities are:
Work of AMSBiH and its entities is public and transparent, available to public information media, with possible valorization of its activities by official and non official institutions following science and scientific work in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
