Days of AMSB&H

In Sarajevo on 24 June 2011, in the salon “UNA” of Holiday Inn hotel was held a Solemn Session of AMSB&H, where, in addition to members of the academic, was present about 100 distinguished guests. On this solemn scientific event, in accordance with the earlier decision taken at the session of the General Board of AMSB&H on June 13 2011 has been promoted four new academics of AMSB&H.

Newly accepted academics keep their promotion lectures in the following order:

• Professor Zlata KundurovicMD, PhD: BEHAVIOR OF CERTAIN APOPTOPIC REGULATORS IN PHARMACOLOGICAL EXPERIMENTAL MODEL OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE (PDF)
• Professor Ljubo SimicMD, PhD: ERADICATION OF ENDEMIC LUES IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA (PDF)
• Professor Enver Zerem MD, PhD: TREATMENT OF ACUTE NECROTIZING PANCREATITIS (PDF)
• Professor Zlatko Hrgovic MD, PhD: LAPAROSCOPIC HYSTERECTOMY – DECISION-MAKING ABOUT WHEN AND WHICH SURGICAL TECHNIQUE TO USE (PDF)

Newly academics of AMSB&H was awarded diplomas by an academic promoter Asim Kurjak, and on that occasion held appropriate speech on the tasks, the role and purpose of AMSB&H existence.

In addition to the promotion lectures by new members of AMSB&H was organized the promotion of the book BY PROPER NUTRITION TO HEALTH, by Melida Hasanagic, Izet Masic and associates. Promotion of the books by kind words was made by academician Mirko Grujic.

Also, academic Izet Masic, AMSB&H President, informed the attendees that on June 15 2011 during his stay in Zagreb attended the celebration of 50th Anniversary of the Croatian Academy of Medical Sciences (AMZH), where the President of Croatia professor Ivo Josipovic awarded the AMZH a special memorandum Croatian state. Speeches for this event were made by the President of the Croatian Government, Ms. Kosor and president of the Croatian Parliament, Mr. Luka Bebic. To five founders of AMZH in 1961 was assigned to the high recognition of AMZH – Laureate AMZH, including: academics Stefanija Puretic, Theodor Durrigl, Vlado Oberiter and Marko Saric.

Presidents of the AMZH and AMSB&H, academics Zeljko Reiner and Izet Masic, during the ceremony was made cordial, friendly debate in which they had previously agreed to continue well-established academic and scientific cooperation between the two academies.
